Dentata 2018
I have started to use more private aspects of my body. Reclaiming the internalised objectification of the male gaze. In my photographic experimentations Mirror/Body (2018) and Dentata (2018) , I used the reflections of a 'make-up' mirror and my laptop camera to dissect parts of myself, critiquing normative understandings of desire and feminine identity, using my body as both subject and object. Voyeuristic and discomforting, it encapsulates my preoccupation with the often diametrically opposed states of sexuality and domesticity. These works provoke unaddressed experiences from my personal life, dissecting myths and beliefs I have followed since I can remember
